From an early age I was aware that I possessed what many would describe as “a creative streak”. I chose to express that streak by working in many different art forms. But it wasn’t until I attended ASU that I found what was to become my one favorite art medium for which I have forsaken all other art forms. The creation of decorative works comprised of fused glass in a kaleidoscope of colors.
I am John Modzelswski, owner and founder of Creative Glassworks AZ, a private art studio where I create my own designs for sale and custom commission pieces. The pieces currently on display in my studio trace my evolution from my ASU student days, learning the techniques, to an accomplished artist who has found his “voice” in this challenging and exciting medium that is unlike all others in its beauty and forms. I put my soul into every piece I create. Because of that I sometimes hate to see my pieces go out the door. But knowing the joy that possessing rare and unique pieces of art can impart on the purchasers, I reluctantly let them go from their place of creation to enrichen the daily lives of all who view them.
Please contact me to schedule a private showing of my art. After seeing it you may wish to purchase an item. Or perhaps you will come up with an idea for a custom piece expressing your vision that can be incorporated into your home or business décor utilizing your favorite shapes, textures and colors. We can draw you a sketch and provide a formal proposal as to the cost and a delivery date. We often require 45 – 60 days to complete a commission piece so plan to allow enough time if you are intending to use this creation to mark a certain event.
